Hey guys,

Here is my D51. I had a good start on it, but the epoxy I was using had gone bad, and failed when on the parts. The fit and finish is the usual DeAgostini quality; fantastic!

I am trying to decide if I want to polish the cast brass bits, or leave the cast texture as is. I'll not be painting it. The brass is too cool as it is.

BigGrin Hi Mark
Just be carefull with the brass plated parts as the coating may disappear if polished too agressivly, looking good

Hi Guys,

I'm rocking and rolling on this again. I'll have a few posts up in the next few days to bring it all up to parts set 9.

I tried polishing mine, but it is still tarnishing in spots so I have decided to paint it.I may paint it a brass color or I may go with black

I'm going to go with the painted version. Try as I might, it is just too much work to keep the brass looking good. I'm unusually acidic, and have a Mokume ring that my body dissolved the copper out of. This equates to really difficult to remove fingerprints on the brass.

The upside is that I get to play with AK Interactive Rust Effects!
