I got that email yesterday! Just as I had caught back up! Still at least they are up front and telling people and suspending payments until they can get stock in. Dave

3 months???? Are the deliveries coming in by bicycle?
Hopefully not a precursor to 'Sorry, but.....'
Roy.

Hi Paul, I have/am building both and I would say that they are totally different to build. The McLaren is held together with glue and screws and some parts are quite tricky if you are a novice. Some parts involve scraping the paint away on small areas and then using ABS pipe weld adhesive to stick together, which can be messy and can seriously damage your model if you are not careful. It also has decals that you need to stick on like an Airfix kit. Whereas the Nissan is only held together with screws (well so far it is!), a bit like the 007 Aston Martin DB5, if you have seen that. The Nissan also has electric lights and windows and a light up dashboard. Where as the McLaren is just a static model, although some very clever people on here have modified it to have working rain light and various other bits and pieces! They are both good, highly detailed models in their own right. So I guess it's a case of personal preference if you have to choose one or the other. But don't be put off by the way the McLaren is put together as I had only built small, basic plastic kits beforehand and I had no problems building it. I had my doubts after the first issue if I'm totally honest, but it was fine and in fact I look at the and my DB5 and take far more satisfaction in completing the McLaren. hope that helps Dave

hi dave,
thanks for the reply, very informative. I dont have any experience with models like these just debating wheather or not to start any subcription. I was leaning more towards the nissan just as it seems easier althouh i am more of an f1 fan. The option to cancel is always there anyway i supose,
thanks again

Hi Paul,
No problem. If you decide on the F1 car, the best advice is to take it slowly to start with and then go from there. It's not difficult, just different from a standard plastic model kit.
If you get stuck or just need some advice the people on here are really helpful.
Good luck with whichever one you decide to take on.
