I don't really intend at this moment in time to start a blog, there are already so many doing the same, and it gets repetitive. I just want to show how far I have progressed so far, and if others wish me to put up further data then I might very well comply.. longblade attached the following image(s):

When you consider that the average Japanese mane of the period was 5foot 6inch tall, that will give you 33 inch at half size, it,s quite imposing when mounted standing up. Bon.

The armoured sleeve is now completed, I must say that threading three thicknesses of leather cord through such a small hole to a little patience, but got there in the end. longblade attached the following image(s):

The thigh guards are now started, with four lengths of lamellar plates added to the silk backing, nothing difficult here, just tedious treading of the silk ribbon in a x over pattern, look forward to the next challenge... longblade attached the following image(s):

Thanks Steve, I think im beginning to realize that, but im enjoying it, and think I will carry on with it. Im also adding my own touches to it, not the armour mind, just some things to compliment it,,,,. I hope. If you go back to the pix with the left sleeve attached you will get a glimpse of part of the project im adding for my own enjoyment.. Bob.
