Can I use the Matt White that came with the complete paint set. If not can anyone suggest a good alternate?
Thanks!

I don't know how well it will work as a primer. Primer usually has high adhesion and a good colour cover. I don't know how well the white will cover, although acrylic paints seem to stick well.
I usually use Halfords white primer. It seems to work on wood as well as metal. That's as long as you don't mind spray cans of course.

I'm using Vallejo White Primer prior to painting any part of the model. Working okay as a base, particularly for lighter colours.
