Stage 38 - Contains a grease pack, differential bevel gears, gear shaft and differential cap.

Take the differential case and 20T bevel gear from the previous stage.

Fit the gear into the pin within the diff case, so that its top face is level with the central shaft, (if it is not level then the gear is not properly located on the pin).

Apply a little grease to the gear shaft, then slide on the 10T bevel gears in the orientation shown.

Fit the shaft into the differential case so that the gears are resting on the 20T bevel gear.
Apply grease into the differential case, spreading the grease into the gears, gently rotate the differential shaft to coat the surfaces, (you may need to hold down the horizontal shaft to do this).

Place the differential cap on top of the case until the next stage.

Stage 39 - Contains the differential gear ring & shaft, screws, bearing, pin, washer and an O ring.

Remove the differential cap from the previous assembly. Fit the bearing onto the cap, pushing bit down as far as it will go.

Slide the bearing side of the cap onto the differential shaft.

Fit an O ring on the inside pf the cap, followed by the washer, pin and the 20T bevel gear. Ensure that the gear is porperly seated upon the pin.

Apply grease to the gear, then fit the cap onto the differential case.

Rotate the cap to align the four holes, then fit the gear ring as shown, and secure with four screws so that the heads are flush with the surface.

You can now test the differential by turning the output shafts in opposite directions, the movement should be notch free.

Place the differential unit into the RB7 gearbox housing until the next stage.
