Yep he's back...... ok, looking through the build diarys some of you guys have used smaller strips of wood for planking the launch, is this just cosmetic or is there a more practical reason? also what type of wood do you use, had a look on that cornwall website and there's loads of different ones - never even heard of some of em.... sorry for being a pain again  MD Anyone who has never made a mistake has never tried anything new.

I think they are using the same wood that came with the issue, by attaching it to some masking take, they cut the plank into 2 pieces, this makes attaching them to the frame much easier than trying to use a full size plank. I haven't tried this method, but it looks good. Ship Builds on the go

lol I bought my masking tape from my dads shop, he calls it his shed, most stuff in there is free  Ship Builds on the go

My dads pockets are usually never empty. Full of MY stuff. My pocket money (Im 35 btw) and MY tools (grandads btw) . Dads are there to bail (not literally(maybe!)) us kids out. Its their job till they die. My 2 kids are 4,8 and they've started already! Even wear my shoes! i dont know what weapons will be used in ww3 but ww4 will be sticks and stones.

It's funny how things come full circle.... My dad used to make me watch and help him at the weekends as he restored cars for a hobby,I used to hate evey second of it cause all I wanted to do was be with my mates and here were are some 20 years later and I restore classic cars for a living......
