OK, Could'nt wait! LOL Keel glued together, got a better idea of size now frames in place but not glued, and 5x1mm strips added over joints for strength, more updates when the parts start arriving.

Nice start Russ,
I'm going to find it hard to resist tooBigGrin The good thing is though as there are only 15 frames and each frame is in one piece then we may receive all the frames in the 1st delivery, seeing as the entire keel and 4 frames came in issue 1.

Hi Russ,
I now have issue 4 in my clutches and noticed that there are the first of the keel doublers with this issue, I think you are going to need to remove your strengthening strips as it looks like they will be in the way.

BigGrin Hi Steve, not a problem, I bought 2 of the first issues, well at 50p each, I couldn't help it!LOL

Parts 2 & 3 have arrived in the post along with a letter saying the binders are out of stock!!! and the free sanding block, its a bit big for modelling but will be handy in the toolbox for bigger stuff!

letting it all build up for a while before I make a start, want to get the X section finished first the mix the build with the BP and the vic.

Updates as and when they come, now where is my scalpel? owww just found it!

Im waiting a little while tooBigGrin It looks as though the keel will be doubled and reinforced the whole length - I was wondering why the keel mdf was thinner than the framesBigGrin
Look forward to seeing your build anyway,
Steve

Happy New Belated New Year!

What can I say about the build, Nothing, I have recieved 51 issues so far and the are all in a box gathering dust, I started the subscription from Issue one so have the keel and everything again, glad I did, put the first bits together over a year ago and had them sat in the box and never noticed the banana shape the keel got! not to worry.

As for the issues so far, I am not impressed with the amount of parts you get with each issue, they could have quite easily made it into 80 parts or less not 120, milk us for as much as they can eh!

example one issue came with one bobbin of thread! usless!! anyway have to put up with it, if theres one thing I have learnt from this, DONT subscribe to any Hachette again....

...on another note: Mellinium Faclon (deago) well impressed so far, already filled a tub and only on issue 6!!!!!

Get everthing else finished then BP.

Watch this space BigGrin
