Pack 07 contains stages 24 - 27

Stage 24 - Contains wing ribs 13 & 14 and rib 11 reinforcements.

Position a block of wood underneath the back of the left wing as you did with the right wing.

Mark both ribs with their respective number, then test-fit rib 13 in the highlighted notch in the main spar of the left wing, then glue the rib in place, so that it is evenly spaced between the two adjacent ribs and
that it is flush with the top of the spar.

Take rib 14 and test-fit it in the next available notch in the main spar, and glue it in place, so that it is evenly spaced between the two adjacent ribs, and flush with the top of the spar.

Remove the two rib 11 reinforcements from the fret and smooth with sandpaper. Position the right wing with the underside facing up.

Apply glue to the outside of the second rib. Place the short reinforcement onto the side of the rib, aligning the outer edges of both.

Test-fit the longer reinforcement along the bottom of the rib, make any necessary adjustments, then glue it in place. Make sure, as with all other reinforcements, that it is flush with the edge of the rib.

Stage 25 - Contains wing rib 15, rib 11 reinforcements and a wooden strip.

Test-fit rib 15 on the main spar, then glue it in place. Check that the back of the rib is spaced evenly between the two adjacent ribs.

Take the fuselage and place it on its right side. Mark a line 20mm from the upper edge of fuselage side, as shown in the steps. Then mark another line 20mm from the edge, located further towards the rear of the
fuselage, as indicated in the steps.

Take two 3x5x300mm wooden strips provided in previous stages, glue one of the strips below the marks made, so that its aft end aligns with the join between the two fuselage sections. You should have a 20mm space between the top of the strips to the top of the fuselage side as per the image of step 9, all the way along the strip.

Repat on the opposite side of the fuselage to fit the second strip.

When the glue is dry, cut off the excess strip and sand flush with the first frame.

Repeat to fit a 3x5x300mm strip onto the right side of the fuselage.

Stage 26 - Contains a rear wing spar, wing rib 7 & 16 and a wooden strip.

Mark the rib numbers on the corresponding ribs.

Take rib 7 and test-fit in the highlighted notch on the left wing, then glue it in place and cjeck that it is set at a right angle to the main spar.

Retrieve rib 11 provided with Stage 22. Place the rib into the spar, as shown, but do not glue it just yet.

Apply glue to the notches of the ribs that have projections on the underside of them, then place rear spar over the notches on the tops of the ribs, as shown in the steps, (the correct fitting of the rear spar should cause the first rib to sit diagonally to the others).

Raise the back of the wing up and make sure that the tops of the ribs are all aligned with the rear spar. Then apply glue to rib 11 to secure it to the spars.

Take rib 1 provided with Stage 20, test-fit, then glue it onto the ends of the main and rear wing spar. Note that the ends of the spars are angled, so the rib won’t sit perfectly vertically.

Store rib 16 and the wooden strip.

Stage 27 - Contains wing rib 8 & 9, rib 16 reinforcements and a wooden strip.

Take rib 16 provided with Stage 26. Test-fit in the highlighted notch then glue it in place, making sure that it is evenly spaced between the adjacent ribs.

Test-fit then glue rib 8 into place in the highlighted notch on the main spar. Make sure it is set at a right angle to the main spar.

Test-fit and glue rib 9 into place in the highlighted notch on the main spar. Make sure it is set at a right angle to the main spar.

Take a 4x4mm wooden strip from a previous stage, and test-fit into the groove along the tops of the ribs, behind the spar, The end of the strip should be positioned halfway across rib 6 and overhang at the root end. When happy with the fit, glue the strip in place.

Store the reinforcement fret and wooden strip for future use.

This completes the build for pack 07.

Pack 08 contains Stages 28 - 31

Stage 28 - Contains wing rib 10, rib 8 reinforcements and a wooden strip.

Take a 4x4mm wooden strip supplied with a previous stage and place it in the channel in the underside of the ribs, behind the main spar. At the other end of the strip, make a mark at the point shown, then cut the strip at this point. Apply glue to the notches of the ribs where the strip will be positioned then fit the srip in place.

Glue and fit what remains of the 4x4mm strip into the notch of the first rib, up against the end of the strip in the second rib. When the glue has dried, cut off the excess strips past the first rib.

Test-fit then glue rib 10 at the end of the wing and adjust it so that it sits at 90 degress to the main spar.

Carfully store the remaining parts within a numbered bag.

Stage 30 - Contains the aileron spar, rib 9 reinforcements, upper wing tip ribs and a woden strip.

Test-fit then glue the aileron spar into place against the rib tails, making sure that it is fully engaged with the ribs.

Take a strip of 4x4mm wood provided in a previous stage and place it on top of the wing up against the existing 4x4mm strip. Make a mark on the strip in line with the last rib, then cut the strip to length and apply glue to the cutouts in the ribs behind the main spar and fit the strip in place.

Take another 4x4mm wooden strip and place it along the grooves behind the main spar on the underside of the wing, up against the existing 4x4mm strip. Make a mark in line with the last rib. Cut the strip to length then glue it in place.

Take the upper wing tip rib sheet that came with this stage. Identify the parts and mark with a pencil as shown in the instructions, then glue each rib in turn on to the upper side of the wing tip in the positions indicated.

Carefully store the remaining parts in a numbered bag.

Retrieve the rib reinforcement fret provided with Stage 20. Remove the individual pieces from the fret and smooth any irregularities with sandpaper.

Take the rib nose reinforcements, apply glue to the front of the fifth rib along and fit them as shown, so they are flush with the upper and lower edges of the rib, (the piece with the slight oval on its inside edge is the lower piece).

Now apply glue to the front of the fifth rib just aft of the reinforcements just fitted, then place the long reinforcement against the rib so that it is flush with the top of the rib.

Carefully store the remaining parts within a numbered bag.
