Just been having a look at the build logs and noticed that everyone when assembling the springs has placed the nut on top of the spring were as i have built mine with the nut on the bottom, Looking back at the instruction it i who has got it wrong so my question is do i need to turn them all round or would it not matter if left as they are. No I don't think make any difference. The reason why the nuts are on top is simply because it is easer to assemble that way.

Should a nut work loose when it is being run, you wont be able to tighten from the top with a screwdriver as the boiler will hinder this. But with the nuts on the top you should be able to access the nuts from the side with a spanner.

Hi Mikey The use of some thread lock may also be a good idea regards Andy Current builds:-C57,Zero, Lamborghini Countach, Caldercraft HMS Agamemnon,Robi,R2-D2, MFH Cobra .

Hi Mikey Im sure your paint work will be more than good enough the thing is with the weathered black it gives shades of oily dirtiness that builds up as its applied. Best of luck with your build regards Andy Current builds:-C57,Zero, Lamborghini Countach, Caldercraft HMS Agamemnon,Robi,R2-D2, MFH Cobra .
