While I totally respect the views that most regard these as a welcome addition to the build all I will say is that they won't be going anywhere near mine.

That's the good thing about model making, you can build to personal preference or stick with the intended.

I have stuck with my intended for over 30 years and she still lets me spend lots of money on these 'boys toys'.... her words not mine. I think the point I was making is that, personally, I don't think they will look right on the unpainted version. If I was painting then I would give it some thought.
