Pack 13 contains Stages 49 - 52

Stage 49 - Contains parts for the the lower rear wing element and screws.

Glue the underwing pieces onto the underside of the lower wing.

Retrieve the rear wing assembly.

Hold the wing assembly and engage the lower wing ends into the rear wing end plates, then secure the lower wing on the outside of the wing end plates, with two 1.4x4mm scews.

Fit the rear wing assembly onto the rear of the chassis, then secure it on the chassis under side with fout 1.4x6mm screws, two at each side of the wing.

This completes the rear wing of the 'display body'. A 'racing' rear wing will be provided at a later stage.

Stage 50 - Contains the right rear hub carrier, bearings, screw pin and a ball headed screw.

This assembly is a repeat assembly of the left rear hub carrier.

I chose not to engage the ball headed screw into the wishbone until the drive shaft has been provided.

Stage 52 - Contains the right driveshaft.

Fit the right drive shaft in a similar way that you fitted the left drive shaft, which runs between the right output cup of the differential and right rear hub.

Pack 14 contains Stages 53-56

Stage 53 - Contains the left rear wheel, tyre and decal set.

Prepare the rim of wheel as before, then fit the tyre onto the wheel and apply glue as indicated. Ensure that the bead of the tyre is fully seated on both sides of the wheel.

Cut out the self adhesive wheel decals and locate both onto the outward facing side of the wheel.

Stage 54 - Contains parts to make the second rear shock absorber.

The shock absober assembly is identical to the rear shock absober assembled at stage 48, therefore I won't repeat the assembly here other than show the parts and completed item.

Retrieve the rear shock absorber assembed at Stage 48. Then remove the upper rear shock mount from the chassis which was fitted in Stage 42.

Remove the ball shafts from the shock mount, and fit one into the hole of the capped end of both shocks. Then fit the ball shafts (now fitted into the shock absorbers), into the upper shock mount.

Refit the shock mount onto the chassis, passing the shocks through the wishbones, then fit the shock absorber ball emds onto the ball headed screw located on the left and right lower wishbones.

Stage 55 - Contains a main shaft, E-ring and bearing.

Slide the bearing onto the very end of the shaft.

Secure the bearing with the E-ring, fitted into the slot on the shaft.

Check that the bearing rotates freely.

Stage 56 - Contains parts to make the gearbox spur.

Fit and rotate the spur holder into the centre of the spur gear to align the three screw holes. Then fit all three screws so they are flush.

Take the main shaft you assembled in the previous stage and insert it into the hole of the spur gear holder and stop before the hole in the shaft enters it.

Insert the pin into the hole then push the shaft further into the holder so the pin fits into the horizontal recess in the holder.

To prevent the assembly coming apart and the pin falling out, temporarily tape the end of the shaft at the back of the spur gear with masking tape.

Set the assembly aside until the next stage.
