Planking Stern Brackets...Is It ME???
After all this time, I've finally got around to building my sovereign and immediately hit a snag with the planking!! Stern Brackets and the planking of? The official build by Mr. T states five planks should take it up to the base of the stern post...I am finding a gap of around 4mm..Is it me...Can I get away with six planks?? Your advice is much needed here shipmates...thank you.

I think there have been reports of the width of the bamboo planks supplied have different widths so therefore the anomaly in the amount used here, so using one extra wont be a problem as its faced with veneer later in the build. Also in Mr T's build he says he used 5 planks but the photo has 6 planks used thus showing up the width anomaly hope this helps
