Hi Andy.
Thanks for the great words BigGrin Cool .
I think i will spray the backhead black and the put Roy's decals on.
Do you have any more info on the glass to cover the decals or should i use gloss varnish.
Any help would be much appreciated BigGrin .
Best regards.

BigGrin Hi Mark
There are several choices you could take with the glass

1/ Cut them out of the clear packaging material the parts were suppled with.
2/ use something like Cristal clear or glue n glaze both products will look like PVA to start with but will dry to a clear glaze, this is the option I will take.

My backhead will go along the same lines as yourself

BigGrin Hi Mark
Looking good and nice work , only one thing the look of the triangular sight glasses could be improved by painting the glass part silver or simmular just an idea.

Hi Spencer.
Thanks for looking in and your great comments.
The build quality of the D51 is phenomenal whether you are a train person or not.
It is a fantastic partwork to do and you would not be disappointed if you decided to to ahead and build one.
Best regards.

Hi Everyone BigGrin .
Here is the next instalment of my D51 build which went together very well.
Andy i took your advise on the water gauges and painted them chrome and i think they look a lot better so thanks for that.
I did not spray the cab yet as there is still more to do on it.
Any questions please don't be afraid to ask.
Any comments good or bad please let me know.
Thanks all and best regards.
