Just a tip on doing rope belays All you need is a scrap bit of wood and two pins and some PVA glue Push the pins into the wood aprox 10mm apart and cut the heads off. Cut a length of cotton and rub some watered down PVA onto the cotton and then wrap the cotton round the pins then slide the rope off the pins trim one of the ends back to the rope and hide it round the back . The long end can be passed round or left loose . Let dry then place over the belay pins and bend down to look like they are hanging down Hope this helps rgd Martyn Ps if you move the pins you can make smaller or biger ones Martyn Ingram attached the following image(s): Building ?
